Deep Cleansing Masks

These are my holy grail clay masks for the last 3-4 years. I try to use them once a week to deep cleanse my pores. These days, there are many clay masks available over the counters. Consumers are simply spoilt for choices. However, I prefer to concoct my own as I will have total control of what go on my face.

Honey Clay Mask
1 tbsp manuka honey (at least UMF 15+)
1 - 1.5 tsp rhassoul clay
1-2 drops pure essential oils (optional)

Aloe Clay Mask
1 tbsp 100% aloe vera (not the green aloe stuff >.<)
1 - 1.5 tsp rhassoul clay
1-2 drops pure essential oils (optional)

Aromatic Clay Mask
1 tbsp 100% organic hydrosol (a.k.a. flower water)
- 1.5 tsp rhassoul clay
1-2 drops pure essential oils (optional)

Tent face & steam with a warm cloth (or after a hot shower to open pores), while the skin is still moist, apply the mask and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and followed by your usual skin regime.

Aloe Honey Oatmeal Scrub Mask
2 tbsp finely milled organic oatmeal (mill them in food processor)
100% aloe vera & manuka honey (50-50; enough to turn oatmeal into a smooth paste)
1-2 drops pure essential oils (optional)

Tent face & steam with a warm cloth (or after a hot shower to open pores), while the skin is still moist, apply the mask. Massage gently for a couple of minutes then leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and followed by your usual skin regime.

On days when I am diligent, I will follow up with a sheet mask after the deep cleansing mask. You could feel a vast different after a good pampering session. The skin will feel smoother & more bouncy ♥♥♥

I will share with you my favourite sheet masks some time later. Though I could DIY facial sheet masks too but sheet masks are meant for lazy days!! Therefore, I still rely on over-the-counter products *blush* But but but... I do try my best to choose wisely u noe. Heehee.

P/S: The next clay that I wish to try is french green clay :)
